Fort Collins Neighborhoods
Safe and family-friendly, Fort Collins offers something for everyone. Whether you enjoy living in the mix of things or prefer a quieter space, you can find a neighborhood that you can fit right in.
Downtown Fort Collins
Ask any Fort Collins real estate agent about the best area to settle in and you’ll likely first hear about Old Town. Located in downtown Fort Collins, Old town brings historic charm, breweries, and a vibrant art and live music scene. As a college town, there is always something happening in downtown and you can enjoy live music, annual festivals, enjoy award-winning Beau Jo’s Colorado style pizza, peddle a beer and bike tour, and enjoy the shop-lined streets.
North Fort Collins
North Fort Collins’ real estate can provide a calmer life with less hustle and bustle of the city. Here you can find several well-established and newer neighborhoods and gain access to lake and water sports or swing some clubs at the Fort Collins Country Club. Here you and your family can enjoy tennis, swimming, and, of course, golf.
South Fort Collins
When families ask their Fort Collins real estate agent about family-oriented areas, you can’t beat the parks, trails, recreation areas, and schools within South Fort Collins. At varying price points, you can find family-friendly areas within close access to golf courses and shopping.
East Fort Collins
Want something off the beaten path but ease of commute. East Fort Collins provides the gamut of space you can call home. From condos to ranch style homes, East Fort Collins neighborhoods offer competitively priced real estate and a wealth of amenities in your own backyard, such as restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, and plenty of trails and open space.
West Fort Collins
Are you looking to connect with nature? West Fort Collins features a stunning landscape of mountains and sprawling native grass areas. Situated nearby, you can find state parks such as Roosevelt National Forest and get plenty of fresh air on bike and walking trails.
Fort Collins Public Schools
Poudre School District covers Northern Colorado and consistently ranks high among US schools. You can find enriching visual and performing arts programs from elementary to high school grades, ecological programs, and an appreciation for individuality and diversity across all campuses.
Poudre School District also provides 2 School Based Health Centers (SBHC) where students can access medical and mental health care while at school. The first, which opened in 1993, serves Centennial High School and we expect the newest SBHC to open its doors in December at Lincoln Middle School. Every child can receive care regardless of their ability to pay.
Fort Collins Fun and Adventure
There’s never a dull moment in FoCo and there is something to do year-round. Families can explore the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, paddle board the Horsetooth Reservoir, or experience the many parks and open spaces right here in Fort Collins.
There’s plenty for the younger single set as well. Adults can take a brewery, ghost, or Creative District tour, catch a college football game, or feast your eyes on an indie flick, jam out, or dance at The Lyric. And, of course, outdoor adventures such as white-water rafting and camping await!
